It's official - every gene in Renji's body must be recessive. Note his long, crimson hair - he keeps it up in a ponytail all the time, but it really falls to his mid-back, even further, really. Usually, he adds a bit more headgear as well, such as various bandanas, or sometimes sunglasses like the ones the Twelfth Division handed to him to find Rukia's low reiatsu in the living world. There are also some from a special store in Soul Society that cost half a year's salary as well... a pity they get broken everytime he wears them.

He wears the usual shinigami robes, complete with his vice captain badge. Nothing really unique there, but what's really unique are his tattoos. They cover him from head to toe, and seem to increase as he gains more power and battle experience (note the ones that appeared on his arms after achieving bankai). He's also got russet-red eyes, which are quite striking against all that red hair and tanned skin.
